Back in the '80's the Afghan Mujahadeen were called freedom fighters. The CIA was operating out of Peshawar, funnelling arms to the fighters who were struggling agianst the Russians. I bought many kilos of lapis from the mujahadeen. Now they are called terrorists or Taliban, but the one impression I got from talking to these men - you cannot beat them. Anyway a very nice lapis here. |
